Breakthru House is a non-profit organization, meaning we keep our doors open with generous donations from people like you! Please browse some of the ways in which you can give to the programs at Breakthru House, Inc. Employer Match
Did you know that many companies have an employee giving match plan? Some companies will match your gift dollar for dollar, doubling your gift! Check with your company's personnel department and see if you could be adding to your donation through this program.

We have forms that can be given to your employer to show that you have given a donation. Just notify us and we will be happy to send you the paper work.

Breakthru House Founder's Scholarship Fund
Many of the women that come to Breakthru House have lost all their resources to their addiction. The Founder's Scholarship Fund was created to make sure that no woman is turned away from Breakthru for financial reasons.

By providing a scholarship for a woman at Breakthru, you will be helping to cover the cost of her:

  • Day Treatment Program
  • Food
  • Housing Expenses
  • Bus fare used for transportation to day treatment and AA meetings
  • In-house counseling, case management, and medical care

$675 pays for 1 woman for 1 month
$4,100 pays for 1 woman for 6 months
$8,100 pays for 1 woman for 1 year

Our goal every year is to raise the funds for 10 women in recovery. If you would like to give to this program, please contact our administrative line.

Other Options for Giving
Breakthru also offers other options for designating gifts to our program. If you would rather give a gift to one of these options please contact our administrative offices to designate how you would like your gift to be used.

$25 purchases personal supplies given to a woman as she enters the program
$50 allows us to purchase the AA Big Book package for a women as she enters the program
$100 per month provides for the cost of the day treatment program for a woman
$500 will provide for a six week life skills enrichment program for the women
$1,000 covers the cost for ten women in day treatment for a month
$5,000 provides the funds needed for the women to attend the annual AA conference
$10,000 assists with the cost of the personalized therapeutic case management each woman will receive at Breakthru
$25,000 covers the food cost for the women for one year

Breakthru Open House

You're Invited!!!

Breakthru House staff, board, and clients would like to cordially invite you to attend an Open House!!

At an open house you will gain a better understanding of our program, hear from one of our Alumnae, and will get to tour our facilities. We will also have persons available to answer any questions that you may have.

Bring your friends and let everyone you know about the work being done at Breakthru House.

Our 2007 Open House dates are: May 12th, September 22nd, and November 16th.

For times and to RSVP please call our administrative line. If you cannot attend any of the scheduled Open Houses, you may arrange a private tour at your convenience.

Breakthru House Note cards

Breakthru House, Inc. has started a cottage industry making note cards!! Through our cottage industry the women of Breakthru House attain skills that build their resumes and their self-esteem. The cottage industry concept came out of the creation of the Breakthru House quilt which was stitched by two volunteers and twelve recovering women. Each of the women chose one of the principles corresponding to the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous: Hope, Honesty, Faith, Courage, Integrity, Willingness, Humility, Love, Discipline, Perseverance, Awareness of God, and Service. The center square depicts the never-ending road to recovery.

To raise support for the cottage industry and Breakthru House, we are selling note cards with pictures of each of the 12 step principles, the whole quilt, and the center square.

We are also selling lovely floral note cards by Wayland Moore, a local Atlanta artist.

The note cards are $10 for 10 cards. You can choose how many and which note cards you want in your pack of 10.
