Alumni
Welcome to all Breakthru House, Inc. Alumnae!! Thank you for taking the time out to visit our website and to see what is currently going on at Breakthru House.
We would like to keep in touch with our Alumnae! Please fill out the Alumnae Profile giving us your current information so that we can reacquaint ourselves and keep you updated on what is going on at Breakthru House. If you would like to get involved with Breakthru House as an Alumna, please indicate so in the profile.
Twice a year we hold events specifically for Alumnae to come back to our campus and see the progress we have made and so that we can see you again as well. We invite you to come visit us on these special occasions honoring the work you completed at Breakthru House.
Alumnae Picnic
Whether you are an alumna, board member, volunteer or just interested in learning more about Breakthru House, this event is for you! During this family friendly, pet friendly event, we spend time together in the back yards of our client residences, along the Serenity Path, sharing a meal and remembering the history of Breakthru House and the successes of the women who have found recovery in our program. Please join us for this event on May 12th from 12:30 to 2:30 and bring a covered dish!
Breakthru House Thanksgiving Dinner
This event is specifically for Breakthru House Board Members, Staff, Current Clients and Alumnae. This is our annual alumnae homecoming event held at Wilson House, one of our client residences. We share a special dinner together and give thanks for the many years Breakthru House has been available to women in need.
Speaker's Bureau
Do you like to educate and inspire others through speaking? If so, the Speakers Bureau is the place for you!
This group of people is made up of those who know Breakthru House either through personal experience as a former client or through volunteering with the Board of Directors, with staff or with clients. Speakers attend Sunday School Class meetings at local churches, Civic Group Meetings, Breakthru Open Houses, Foundation Site Visits, Church Mission Fairs, and other engagements to represent Breakthru House.
Speakers who have a personal story of recovery or personal experience with Breakthru House may tell their story and speakers who volunteer with Breakthru House may tell about their experiences working with the women here. We also have a Breakthru House video and handouts to aid speakers in their presentations.
Check out Get Involved to see other ways that are available for you to lend your talent and experience to the Breakthru House women. You can lead an enrichment group, work on a committee, and/or lend your time to the administrative staff to help with mailings or other projects!
